What is CMMI?

CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a process level improvement training and appraisal program jointly researched and developed by the U.S. Department of Defense and Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Research Institute. *( ''Capability Maturity Model Integration'', n.d.)* The tenet of CMMI is all about continuous process improvement. It is a symbol of business efficiency for organizations especially in software development, which appraises their maturity of process standardization and engineering development capabilities.

The CMMI software capability maturity integration model mainly includes three models: development model CMMI for Development, service model CMMI for Service, and procurement model CMMI for Acquisition. WeTest, specifically, has earned the CMMI-DEV (CMMI for Development) certification this time, which proves a high level of WeTest’s R&D management and software development.

What’s so special about CMMI Level 3 and WeTest?

CMMI Maturity Level 3 is one of the five levels in the CMMI, also called the definition level. Reaching this level means that WeTest not only can implement projects in well-managed ways to ensure the completion of the projects but also can develop procedures for the implementation of different types of projects, based on each different circumstance.
